New York Blues/Soul Artist Tomás Doncker provides the soundscape that zones in on the racial issues that have been brewing up in the United States lately. The name of the album is called “The Mess We Made” and is inspired by the events in the Charleston Massacre. The album has starts off with a somber song in “Some Ol Dolls” but then turn up to high energy in “Church is Burning Down”. In the stand out track “Revolution” Tomas is calling bullshit on it and using his songwriting experience to convey the message to the black youth to get together, pull their pants up, and kick off the revolution for change.

Overall a great album with a solid shout for change. Be sure to check out the album trailer video and then stream the album in its entirety on SoundCloud which you can find right here!
